Microsoft Education is hosting an event on November 9, 2021 to discuss the future of the company’s education products. According to Microsoft, the “Reimagine” event will be 45 minutes long and will kick of at 9:00 AM PST.
In a blog post to confirm the event, Microsoft Education says Reimagine will solve gaps in education caused by the global pandemic:
“Uniting changemakers and industry leaders, this 45-minute virtual event will address gaps widened by the pandemic, ways to tackle challenges with innovative technology, and share best practices to support inclusive learning.”
Specifically, the company will discuss “ways to tackle challenges with innovative technology, and share best practices to support inclusive learning.”
With this in mind, Microsoft is urging education leaders, teachers, and IT admins to attend the virtual event.
During the Reimagine stream, Microsoft will speak about new solutions it has planned for Microsoft Education, as well as offer insights into current products. The company confirmed Grammy and Academy Award winnings actor/singer Common will speak at the event.
For some time, there have been rumors of a 11-inch Surface device for education. This would be a low-cost laptop for students and a direct competitor to affordable Chromebooks. Microsoft may also unveil Windows 11 SE, which has been rumored as a lighter version of the recently launched OS.
Of course, WinBuzzer will be on hand with all the news from the Reimagine Microsoft Education event next week.
Microsoft confirms several executives will speak at the event, including Deirdre Quarnstrom, Vice President Education Experiences, Paige Johnson, Vice President of Education Marketing, and more.
Tip of the day: With many reachable wireless access points popping up and disappearing again, the available networks list can become quite annoying. If needed you can use the allowed and blocked filter list of Windows to block certain WiFi networks or all unknown WiFi networks.
